Picking the right sign for you.

Here are some basic things that you need to keep in mind as you make decisions on what kind of Sign you need to best get your message out.

1. Color

Many times color can take a simple, easily missed sign and really make it stand out. Below are a few examples of color backgrounds and text work well toether. Some tips that you want to keep in mind when you are make decisions about color:

Contrast is the difference in visual properties that makes an object distinguishable from other objects and the background. While contrast is often needed to provide optimum readability (such as high contrast between background and text) contrasting colors on the color wheel when printed side by side can appear to vibrate and be very tiring on the eye.

Combining Colors Complementary colors printed side by side can cause visual vibration making them a less than desirable combination. However, separate them on the page with other colors and they can work together.

2. Letter Height

Putting small letters on a huge sign doesn't work. Why pay for a sign you can't see? Did you know that the opposite can also have the same result? Putting huge letters on a small sign can also make it hard to read. Leaving alittle room around the wording can make the sign more readable and the logo have more impact.
